A Transformation In The Dark
There is so much noise in our lives today. Between politicians, mainstream media, social media, artificial intelligence and other sources of info, often we no longer know what to believe or what is real.
These “constant” noises in our environment impact our viewpoints, communication, relationships and the way we approach life. Add to that other input sources- e.g. live streaming of images and videos on riots, pandemic strife etc - causing one to enter a downward spiraling vortex.
Under such circumstances, even the strongest of minds can get crushed. Mental health is a major issue affecting all ages today and awareness is the first step to well-being.
What can you do? How can you maintain your balance in this "noisy" world?
Take time to quiet the mind, heart, and spirit, and tune-in to what you need by looking within you on this coming New Moon.
In Chinese Metaphysics, a New Moon is…Yin. Quiet. Rest. Nourishment. It is the "night" of night. It is the beginning, the birth, the first day of the lunar cycle - making the New Moon a good time to start new habits & to commit or recommit to yourself.
The new moon is also known as the dark moon because it occurs when the moon is at its relative lowest point in its orbit as it passes between the earth and the sun, leaving us with a relatively moonless and literally dark night.
The idea of darkness is such a greatly under-appreciated concept in our modern world, often associated with “badness” or “wrongness”. We should not equate darkness with such negativity.
Instead when we think of ‘dark,’ think of it as dark like the womb. Dark like a cocoon. A state filled with mystery, transformation, renewal, and regeneration. Embrace it as darkness that heals.
Come join me this coming September 7th where we restore and replenish ourselves for more greatness in the upcoming years with initiation on this special New Moon that coincides the 1st day of both our Chinese Solar & Lunar Calendars. What You Need To Prepare Before The Session
- 1Wear loose and comfortable clothes during session
- 2A quiet space or room for minimal distractions (preferably with black out or thick curtain)
- 3A yoga mat or your bed for guided meditation
- 4Eye mask (recommended)
- 5Good quality ear phones (recommended)
- 6A good & stable connection to the internet (conducted via Zoom)
- 7Heart stones and crystals - (Optional, only if you already have them) Choose from: rose quartz, pink calcite, watermelon tourmaline, kunzite, rhodonite, pink tourmaline, green tourmaline.
- 8Bath with flowers (rose petals) and green lime slices (preferably kaffir lime) and energy cleanse scrub with natural sea-salt, Epsom salt or himalaya pink salt before session (optional)
- 9Essential Oils (Lavender, Rose, Bergamot)This is not compulsory, only if you already have the oils at home.
- 10A big jug or mug of water infused with rose petals / warm water with green lime slices (follow Jessie’s Facebook page for instructions on making rose water before the workshop)
- 11An open mind and heart
